IOS APP
Re-assembly is the reverse of disassembly.
An iPhone and iPad app for teardown photos. Shoot while you take something apart, so you know how it went back together. Every project is an album in your own Photos library; the app adds nothing of its own on top.
Download on the App Store — free, for iPhone and iPad.
PRIVACY POLICY
The app has no account, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party code and no server of its own. Nothing you do in the app is sent anywhere, and the developer has no access to your photos, your projects or anything else.
Re-assembly asks for full access to your photo library so it can create albums and folders for your projects and save photos into them. Those albums and photos live in your library only. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple syncs them between your devices under Apple's privacy policy; Re-assembly is not involved in that.
Used to take the photos. Nothing is captured without you pressing the shutter.
If you allow it, the app writes your location into the metadata of the photos it takes, the same way the built-in Camera app does. That location is stored inside the photo file in your own library and nowhere else. You can decline the permission; the app works the same without it.
The app remembers which project you last opened and a few camera preferences (flash, grid). These are stored on the device only and never leave it.
If this policy ever changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. Effective date: 6 October 2026.
